West Michigan blows out Wooster, 4-1

West Michigan had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over Wooster.

West Michigan got the win with help from a great game by Dakota Ulmer, who had one goal and two assists. Ulmer scored 8:20 into the second period to make the score 3-1 West Michigan. Brendon Block picked up the assist.

West Michigan excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. West Michigan's offense rang up 39 shots on Wooster's net.

West Michigan additionally got points from Curtis Carlson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Block, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Justin Bloomfield also scored for West Michigan. More assists for West Michigan came via Corey Siwula, who had two and Christian Amend and Davis Hudson, who each chipped in one.

Wooster could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Wooster averages 3.3 goals per game. Wooster kept West Michigan's goalie busy throughout the game, and Samuel Woznicki made 31 saves on 32 shots.

Wooster was led by Christian Miller, who scored the team's only goal. Miller scored 2:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 West Michigan. Ramsey Mayne assisted on the tally.

West Michigan incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Creighton Furber made 35 saves for Wooster on 39 shots. Wooster incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
