Yellowstone gutted out a close 3-2 win against Billings.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Drew Nelson's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Yellowstone pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 32 penalty minutes.

Yellowstone was led by Nelson, who finished with one goal. Nelson scored 19:55 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Yellowstone. Nick Greene provided the assist.

Yellowstone excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 11 chances. Yellowstone's offense rang up 45 shots on Billings' net.

Yellowstone additionally got points from Curtis Greenbush, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jake Dickison also scored for Yellowstone.
