North Iowa had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over Rochester. North Iowa forced Rochester goalie Zach Mains to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots. North Iowa's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. North Iowa was helped by Brett Gravelle, who finished with one goal and one assist. Gravelle scored on the power play 7:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North Iowa. North Iowa had gained a power play chance when Spencer Hadacek was whistled for slashing. Joe Burgmeier picked up the assist. North Iowa additionally got points from Jeff Solow, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Sean Mallonee, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for North Iowa included Adam Orn, Austin Jackson, Quinn Fuchs, and Riley Meyer, who each put in one.
