Huge game by Dunner boosts Texas over Louisiana, 5-0

Texas' Ryan Dunner had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 5-0 win over Louisiana.

Dunner scored at 1:18 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Texas and again while 9:57 into the second to make the score 2-0 Texas.

Louisiana's power play was ineffective against Texas' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Texas excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Texas forced Louisiana goalie Logan Quebedeaux to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Texas additionally got points from Bryan Whelan, who also registered one goal and two assists and Kyle Galloway, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Brock Brown also scored for Texas. More assists for Texas came via Jacob Elrod, who had two and Victor Ekk and Hunter Frado, who contributed one each.

Louisiana's offense operated below its season average. Louisiana puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game. Louisiana could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Tyler Myers rejected 18 shots on goal for Texas. Texas incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Logan Quebedeaux made 37 saves for Louisiana on 42 shots.
