Chicago downs Euless, 6-1

Daniel Spano grabbed two points to lead Chicago to a 6-1 victory over Euless.

Chicago outdid its season average for goals scored. Chicago has scored at the pace of 2.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

Chicago also got points from Vaughn Clouston, who also had one goal and one assist, David Rutkowski, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Alex Johnson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Chicago also got a goal from Connor Senn as well. More assists for Chicago came via Jake Borth, Luke Borth, Kevin Ely, and Travis Marsh, who each chipped in one and Bryce Freel and Timothy Hoffenkamp, who contributed two each.

Euless' offense was handcuffed by Chicago's defensive play, and Euless managed only 13 shots on goal during the game.

Euless was led by Triston Wilson, who scored the team's only goal. Wilson scored on the power play 9:28 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Euless earned a power play opportunity when Marsh was put in the box for elbowing. Brandon Wade assisted on the tally.

Chicago's Sergey Markelov stopped 12 shots out of the 13 that he faced. Chicago totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 3-for-7 on the power play. For Chicago, Oliver Breton was ejected from the game. Joshua Beatty rejected 20 shots on goal for Euless. Euless incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
