Pittsburgh blows out Glacier, 10-1Schwan SR-3 Sat, Dec 19, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Pittsburgh had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 10-1 win over Glacier. Pittsburgh got the win behind a great game by Brian Dee, who had one goal and two assists. Dee scored 15:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Pittsburgh. Devin Sroka picked up the assist. Pittsburgh forced Glacier's netminders to work between the pipes, ripping 38 shots and forcing 28 saves. Mikhail Pahrebets made 20 stops and Raymond Smith made eight. Pittsburgh bested its season scoring average. Pittsburgh averages 2.7 goals per game. Pittsburgh also got points from Cedric Calhoun, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Dominick Glavach, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Sroka, who also tallied two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Pittsburgh also had goals scored by Nick Hawkins, who had two and Camron Smith, Vincent Casale, and Darrien Sroka, who each put in one. In addition, Pittsburgh received assists from James Unger, who had three, Brian Grant, Ryan Loebig, and Anthony Szurlej, who each chipped in one, and Perry Shiring, Connor Ackerman, and Ryker Barber, who contributed two each. Glacier's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Pittsburgh power plays. Pittsburgh took out Adam Provaznik after he had made nine saves and installed Jacob Stack in goal, where he finished with seven saves and the win. Pittsburgh incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Glacier incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
