Chicago tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Cincinnati would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3. A goal by Marc Anderson put Cincinnati up 5-2 in the third period, but Chicago pulled to within two on Connor Senn's tally 18:41 into the third period.
