Huge game by Adnell boosts Sugar Land over Louisiana, 9-2

Jonathan Adnell was all over the ice for Sugar Land, as he tallied two goals and three assists in Sugar Land's 9-2 win over Louisiana.

Adnell found the back of the net 5:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Sugar Land and again while short handed 15:55 into the third to make the score 9-3 Sugar Land.

Sugar Land's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 11 minors and two majors for 42 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 27.0 minutes per game Sugar Land had been spending in the box. Sugar Land forced Louisiana goalie Sean Angle to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Sugar Land outdid its season average for goals scored. Sugar Land averages 3.5 goals per game. The defensemen of Sugar Land were also effective in Louisiana's zone, and came away with two goals.
