In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Wooster escaped with a 5-4 victory over Pittsburgh.

Wooster gained the winning advantage on a goal by Brad Sneed 17:17 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

In the losing effort, Pittsburgh was led by Vincent Casale, who registered two goals. Casale scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 22 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Pittsburgh. Brian Dee picked up the assist. Casale's next tally on the power play made the score 4-4 with 7:57 left in the third period. Pittsburgh earned a power play opportunity when Sneed was put in the box for cross checking. Adam Schaffer provided the assist.

Wooster also got points from Will Schober, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Wooster also had goals scored by Trenton Mulnix, Rubin Chavarria, and Tyler Houmard, who each put in one.
