La Crosse's Ben Henderson scored 37 seconds into overtime to beat Minnesota, 5-4 (OT). La Crosse got the win with help from a great game by Henderson, who had two goals and one assist. Henderson scored the first of his two goals at 1:43 into the second period to make the score 3-1 La Crosse. Dylan Goggin provided the assist. Henderson's next tally made the score 5-4 La Crosse with 19:23 left in overtime. Mick Nisbet assisted on the tally. La Crosse excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. La Crosse also got points from Nisbet, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Toby Sengvongxay, who also had one goal and two assists. La Crosse also got a goal from Jerame Schuetzle as well. More assists for La Crosse came via Brady Thiering, who had two and JP Eykyn and Jacob St. Andre, who contributed one each. Minnesota was helped by Kevin Donahue, who finished with one goal. Donahue scored 7:15 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Frankie Moore picked up the assist. Minnesota additionally got points from Jacob Aberwald, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Minnesota included Jordan Forschen and Tre Opack, who each put in one. In addition, Minnesota received assists from Jacob Cox, who had two and Tyler Leverty, Kyle Wendorf, Steele Drenning, and Ty Ennis, who each chipped in one. Andrew Wagner recorded 25 saves for La Crosse. La Crosse incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brady Griffin rejected 18 shots on goal for Minnesota. Minnesota incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
