Alexandria downs Breezy Point in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Logan Nelson gave Alexandria a 4-3 (OT) victory over Breezy Point when he scored 1:10 into the extra period.

Alexandria came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Alexandria trailed 3-0 after a goal by Breezy Point's Ryan Mezera at 17:27 in the first period. Alexandria knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Logan Norman at 5:31 in the third period.

Tony Arias was all over the ice for Alexandria, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Arias scored 6:16 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Breezy Point. Aaron Ryback assisted on the tally.

Alexandria put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Breezy Point to score on any of its five power plays. Alexandria kept Breezy Point's goalie busy throughout the game, and Wes Paupore made 31 saves on 35 shots. Alexandria could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Alexandria additionally got points from Norman, who also registered one goal and two assists. Alexandria also got a goal from Mason Hautala as well. Other players who recorded assists for Alexandria were Trent Olson, Jack Cernohous, and Connor Nilson, who each chipped in one.

Breezy Point's offense rang up 31 shots on Alexandria's net.

Patrik Johansson also scored for Breezy Point. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Tyler Larwood, who had two and Alec Hooper, Sean Viti, Nick Blanchette, and Josh Laven, who contributed one each.

Brey Effertz made 28 saves for Alexandria on 31 shots. Alexandria registered two goals on two power play opportunities. Breezy Point incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
