Bozeman outlasts Yellowstone, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Bozeman escaped with a 4-3 victory over Yellowstone.

Bozeman gained the winning advantage on a goal by Steven Nisbet 4:55 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Nisbet was all over the ice for Bozeman, as he had two goals in the win.

Bozeman put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Yellowstone to score on any of its four power plays. Bozeman's offense rang up 31 shots on Yellowstone's net. Bozeman could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Bozeman also got a goal from AJ ODell as well. Other players who recorded assists for Bozeman were Elliott Hopkins, Dylan Michaud, and John Dixon, who contributed one each and Kyle Klatt and Kegan Couture, who each chipped in two.

Yellowstone excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Yellowstone forced Bozeman goalie Stephen Frank to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Yellowstone could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Yellowstone was helped by Nick Green, who grabbed one goal. Green scored 10:59 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Max Doner assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Yellowstone included Drew Nelson and Curtis Greenbush, who each put in one. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Tony Dahlberg, Nicholas Elliot, Reed Kelly, Jake Dickison, and Manuel Manero, who contributed one each.

Frank rejected 44 shots on goal for Bozeman. Lance Knudson made 27 saves for Yellowstone on 31 shots.
