Metro outlasts Wooster, 4-2

The game between Metro and Wooster was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Metro emerged with a 4-2 win.

Metro gained the winning advantage on a goal by Mathias Tellstrom 19:28 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

Metro's penalty kill excelled, as Metro gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

Metro was sparked by Tellstrom, who tallied one goal and one assist.

Metro stifled Wooster's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Metro kept Wooster's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joe Morgan made 35 saves on 39 shots.

Metro also had goals scored by Pearce Vance, Chase Sereno, and Kevin Shand, who scored one goal each. In addition, Metro received assists from Michael Tratar, who had two and David Chavis, Mark Vansaw, Jacob Gleason, Jacob Rutkoske, and Matt Dempsey, who contributed one each.

Wooster's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Metro power plays.

Wooster was helped by Christian Miller, who had one goal. Miller scored 5:01 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Metro. Tyler Crites picked up the assist. Rubin Chavarria also scored for Wooster.

Kameron Limburg made 28 saves for Metro on 30 shots. Metro incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Wooster incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
