Great Falls rips Glacier, 8-2

Great Falls had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-2 win over Glacier.

Great Falls excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Great Falls forced Glacier goalie Raymond Smith to work between the pipes, taking 63 shots. Great Falls outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Great Falls averages 4.3 goals per contest.

Great Falls was helped by Tegan Harrington, who had two goals. Harrington scored the first of his two goals at 16:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Great Falls. Brendan Jester assisted on the tally. Harrington's next tally made the score 2-0 Great Falls with 2:26 left in the first period. Austin Krantz picked up the assist. Great Falls also got points from Tanner Congdon, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Mitchell Ramstad, who also registered two goals and one assist, Miles Giorgione, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Jester, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Great Falls also got a goal from Adam Apangalook as well. More assists for Great Falls came via Josh Larson, who had one and Reed Link, Wade Wylie, and Connor Barta, who contributed two each.

Glacier got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Glacier was helped by Kevin Kittleson, who had two goals. Kittleson scored the first of his two goals at 16:41 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Great Falls. Collin Schieman assisted on the tally. Kittleson's next tally made the score 4-2 Great Falls with 1:41 left in the second period. Schieman picked up the assist. In addition, Glacier received assists from Brandon Huntington, who had one.

Kevin Hale made 19 saves for Great Falls on 21 shots. Great Falls totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Smith recorded 55 saves for Glacier. Glacier incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
