Kreuser lifts Twin City over Minnesota, 5-1

Twin City relied on the scoring touch of Luc Kreuser, who netted two goals, to beat Minnesota, 5-1.

Kreuser scored at 19:05 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Twin City and again while 1:54 into the second to make the score 3-1 Twin City.

Twin City managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Twin City finished below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. Twin City kept Minnesota's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dakota McDonald made 32 saves on 37 shots.

Twin City also got a goal from Jay Paul as well. Other players who recorded assists for Twin City were James Hale, who had two and Zak Lambrecht, Adam Vannelli, Jared Erickson, Nicholas Campbell, Alex Egle, and Yannick Zehnder, who each chipped in one.

Minnesota managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Minnesota ended up below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game.

Minnesota was led by Kyle Wendorf, who scored the team's only goal. Wendorf scored 5:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Minnesota. Tre Opack picked up the assist.

Twin City's Gunnar Howg stopped 14 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Twin City registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Minnesota registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
