Evansville could not stop Atlanta's Jesse Brown, who tallied a hat trick in a 13-1 win.

Brown's first goal came 2:49 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:02 into the second and at 5:03 into the third.

Atlanta's Corey Boettcher was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. Boettcher managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.11 prior to the game.

Atlanta forced Evansville's goaltenders to work in net, ripping 67 shots and forcing 54 saves. Adam Conkling made 33 stops and Bryson Lindenburgh made 21. Atlanta excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Atlanta surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Atlanta has scored at the pace of 6.4 goals per game during the current campaign.

Atlanta also got points from Kyle Rimbach, who also finished with two goals and two assists, Philip Pugliese, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Evan Camba, who also registered two goals and one assist, Artus Laukaitis, who also had one goal and one assist, Alex Johanson, who also racked up one goal and three assists, and Dylan Wattles, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Atlanta also had goals scored by Bear Ross and Steve MacIver, who each put in one. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Riley Hummitsch, who had two, Colin OConnor, who had three, and Aleksi Hoivala, Andrew Cooley, Drew Kelly, and Ross Bartlett, who each chipped in one.

Evansville struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 44 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays.

Brandon Bornkamp also scored for Evansville. More assists for Evansville came via Nate Thormann and Michael Kelley, who contributed one each.

Atlanta incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
