Pittsburgh squeaks by Southern Tier, 4-3

The game between Pittsburgh and Southern Tier was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Pittsburgh emerged with a 4-3 win.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Vincent Casale at 18:09 of the third period.

Pittsburgh was sparked by Casale, who registered one goal and one assist.

Southern Tier was unable to stop Pittsburgh from sending pucks towards the net, and Pittsburgh eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

Pittsburgh also had goals scored by Perry Shiring, Connor Ackerman, and Darrien Sroka, who each put in one. In addition, Pittsburgh received assists from Gavin Cummings, who had two and Nicholas Lyon, James Unger, and Anthony Szurlej, who each chipped in one.

Southern Tier forced Pittsburgh goalie Jacob Stack to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Southern Tier was helped by Nathan Butkowski, who had one goal. Butkowski scored 17:03 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Elijah Williams provided the assist. Others who scored for Southern Tier included Justin Andriaccio and Joseph Gerace, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Southern Tier were Brian Grant and Joshua Malin, who contributed one each.

Jacob Stack made 32 saves for Pittsburgh on 35 shots. Pittsburgh incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tyler Geloneck rejected 43 shots on goal for Southern Tier. Southern Tier incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
