Bozeman uses shootout to best Glacier, 4-3 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Bozeman defeated Glacier in a shootout 4-3 (1-0 SO).

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout.

Bozeman overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Bozeman fell behind 3-2 after a power play goal by Glacier's Logan Kraft at 4:57 in the second period. Bozeman tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Nicholas Thompson at 17:11 in the third period.

Dylan Michaud was all over the ice for Bozeman, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Michaud scored 1:05 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Bozeman. AJ ODell picked up the assist.

Bozeman was often in penalty trouble, totaling 10 minors and one major for 35 minutes in penalty time. Bozeman had been averaging 23.0 minutes in penalties per game. Bozeman kept Glacier's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mikhail Pahrebets made 32 saves on 36 shots.

Bozeman also got a goal from Steven Nisbet as well. More assists for Bozeman came via Elliott Hopkins and Casey Gobel, who contributed one each.

Glacier racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and two majors for 38 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 17.0 minutes per game Glacier had been spending in the box. Bozeman was unable to stop Glacier from sending pucks towards the net, and Glacier eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Glacier was helped by Collin Schieman, who tallied one goal and one assist. Schieman scored 5:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Glacier. Brandon Huntington provided the assist. Glacier additionally got points from Kraft, who also registered one goal and one assist and Tyler McMahon, who also racked up one goal and one assist.

Bozeman's Benjamin Sakaria stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Bozeman registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Glacier registered one goal on eight power play opportunities.
