Huge game by Drinkard boosts Metro over West Michigan, 8-3Wings west Fri, Nov 13, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Jacob Drinkard was all over the ice for Metro, as he tallied two goals and three assists in Metro's 8-3 win over West Michigan. Drinkard scored at 16:47 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Metro and again while 2:12 into the third to make the score 5-2 Metro.Metro kept West Michigan's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joe Licata made 44 saves on 52 shots. Metro outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Metro averages 4.4 goals per contest. Metro also got points from Matt Dempsey, who also grabbed one goal and four assists and Graham Day, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Metro also had goals scored by Pearce Vance, who had two and Stefan Boskovic and Mathias Tellstrom, who scored one goal each. In addition, Metro received assists from David Chavis, Marc Schwartz, Chase Sereno, Chas Distelrath, Jason Recchia, and Kevin Shand, who each chipped in one. Metro was unable to stop West Michigan from sending pucks towards the net, and West Michigan eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. West Michigan was led by Dakota Ulmer, who racked up one goal and two assists. Ulmer scored 7:42 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Metro. Brandon Benaglio assisted on the tally. Others who scored for West Michigan included Chase Whallon and Korey Muzzy, who each put in one. More assists for West Michigan came via TJ Krajewski, who had two. Kameron Limburg made 40 saves for Metro on 43 shots. Metro incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. West Michigan incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
