Texas' Galloway deadly on offense in 6-1 win against Sugar Land

Texas relied on the scoring touch of Kyle Galloway, who netted two goals, to beat Sugar Land, 6-1.

Galloway scored at 4:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Texas and again while 11:26 into the first to make the score 4-0 Texas.

Texas' penalty kill excelled, as Texas gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

Texas forced Sugar Land goalie Tristan Collins to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Texas additionally got points from Bryan Whelan, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Ryan Dunner, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Texas also had goals scored by Kyle Torgerson and Zack Andersen, who scored one goal each. In addition, Texas received assists from Niklas McCallum, who had two and Jacob Elrod, Victor Ekk, Brock Brown, Hunter Frado, George Hansen, and Garrett Culps, who contributed one each.

Sugar Land was held below its usual level of production. Sugar Land averages 3.3 goals per game.

Luca Valenza also scored for Sugar Land. Other players who recorded assists for Sugar Land were Keith Allen and Jonathan Adnell, who each chipped in one.
