Pugliese's hat trick boosts Atlanta over Cincinnati, 7-1

Philip Pugliese netted a hat trick to lead Atlanta over Cincinnati, 7-1.

Pugliese notched his first tally 11:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:43 into the second and at 9:19 into the third.

Atlanta put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cincinnati to score on any of its three power plays.

Atlanta additionally got points from Evan Camba, who also registered one goal and one assist. Atlanta also had goals scored by Kyle Rimbach, Drake Cartwright, and Artus Laukaitis, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Atlanta were Jacob Roers, Riley Hummitsch, Jack Cleaver, Steve MacIver, and Alex Johanson, who contributed one each.

Cincinnati was led by Cobin Sanborn, who scored the team's only goal. Sanborn scored 18:05 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Atlanta. Jacob Friedman provided the assist.

Alekandr Zendejas recorded 20 saves for Atlanta. Atlanta incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Cincinnati's Daniel Dolliver stopped 23 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Cincinnati ended with 55 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Cincinnati ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Taylor Hamilton was ejected from the game.
