Wisconsin rips Chicago, 11-0

Wisconsin had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 11-0 win over Chicago.

Wisconsin got the win with help from a great game by Jake McNamara, who had one goal and three assists. McNamara scored 12:26 into the third period to make the score 9-0 Wisconsin. Nathan Viberg provided the assist.

Wisconsin's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Chicago power plays. Wisconsin's defensive play was more effective than usual against Chicago. Wisconsin allows 3.0 goals per game. Wisconsin kept Chicago's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sergey Markelov made 44 saves on 55 shots. Wisconsin bested its season scoring average. This season, Wisconsin averages 3.9 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Wisconsin also got points from Connor Boscaccy, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Nick Miller, who also registered one goal and one assist, Peter Henderson, who also had two goals and two assists, Viberg, who also tallied two goals and one assist, and Bryce Fisk, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Wisconsin also had goals scored by Clayton Brown, Ben Ratner, and Taylor Dickert, who each put in one. In addition, Wisconsin received assists from Zac Shenderovsky, who had three, Roni Sener, Caleb Vosters, Thomas Hanson, Zachary Ross, and Russel Barone, who contributed one each, and Matthew Carr and Ethan Luck, who each chipped in two.

Sener rejected 19 shots on goal for Wisconsin. Wisconsin incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Chicago incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
