Early goals doom Chicago, falls to Wisconsin, 12-0

Wisconsin opened up a five-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 12-0 win over Chicago.

Nathan Viberg was all over the ice for Wisconsin, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Viberg scored 8:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wisconsin. Russel Barone assisted on the tally.

Wisconsin was often in penalty trouble, totaling five minors and two majors for 50 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 22.0 minutes per game Wisconsin had been spending in the box. Wisconsin forced Chicago's goalies to work between the pipes, launching 67 shots and forcing 55 saves. Alec Paloumpis made 37 stops and Sergey Markelov made 18.
