Sugar Land blows out Louisiana, 5-2

Sugar Land had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over Louisiana.

Kyle Hooper was all over the ice for Sugar Land, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Hooper scored on the power play 4:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Sugar Land. Sugar Land had gotten the advantage when Louisiana's Timothy Zittel was sent off for holding. Keith Allen provided the assist.

Sugar Land's offense rang up 37 shots on Louisiana's net.

Sugar Land also got points from Matt Cozzan, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jonathan Adnell also scored for Sugar Land. More assists for Sugar Land came via Zac McKenna, Estevan Cortes, and Frank Muscarella, who contributed one each.

Louisiana was helped by Brayden Hutchinson, who had one goal. Hutchinson scored on the power play 17:18 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Sugar Land. Louisiana had taken the advantage when Sugar Land's Allen got sent off for roughing. Dante Juris picked up the assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Mitch Dolese as well. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Tucker Alspaugh, who had one.

Kevin Mackey recorded 22 saves for Sugar Land. Sugar Land incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Sean Angle made 32 saves for Louisiana on 37 shots. Louisiana incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
