Couture nets hat trick, leads Bozeman to 6-1 win over Glacier

Kegan Couture netted a hat trick to lead Bozeman over Glacier, 6-1.

Couture notched his first tally 37 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 6:24 into the third and at 12:12 into the third.

Bozeman was led by goalie Stephen Frank, who finished with 36 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Frank will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.84.

Bozeman put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Glacier to score on any of its three power plays. Bozeman's offense rang up 43 shots on Glacier's net.

Bozeman additionally got points from AJ ODell, who also had one goal and one assist and Gunnar Mogck, who also racked up one goal and four assists to lead the team in points. Zach Frasier also scored for Bozeman. Other players who recorded assists for Bozeman were Nicholas Thompson, who had two and Bryce Meckes, Daniel Liberko, Duncan McGarrah, and John Dixon, who contributed one each.

Glacier's offense rang up 37 shots on Bozeman's net. Glacier struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Bozeman to score three power play goals on three chances.

Glacier was led by Tyler McMahon, who scored the team's only goal. McMahon scored 2:36 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Ronald Robertson provided the assist.

Bozeman incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Raymond Smith rejected 37 shots on goal for Glacier. Glacier incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
