Huge game by Mezera boosts Breezy Point over Rochester, 4-1

Behind a great game by Ryan Mezera, who had two goals and one assist, Breezy Point defeated Rochester, 4-1.

Mezera's tallies came at 13:50 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Breezy Point and 19:34 into the third to make the score 4-1 Breezy Point.

Breezy Point's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Rochester power plays. Breezy Point's offense rang up 35 shots on Rochester's net. Breezy Point could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 50 minutes in penalties during the game.

Breezy Point also had goals scored by Alec Hooper and Tyler Larwood, who each put in one. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Christian Lenzmeier, Jake Tomkowiak, and Josh Laven, who contributed one each.

Rochester was led by Hunter Heightland, who scored the team's only goal. Heightland scored 9:58 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Colby DeCarlo picked up the assist.

Magnus Lindhe rejected 23 shots on goal for Breezy Point. Breezy Point registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Zach Mains recorded 31 saves for Rochester. Rochester ended with 45 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Rochester ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Trey McMillen was ejected from the game.
