Sugar Land downs Louisiana in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Sugar Land's Kyle Hooper scored 3:07 into overtime to beat Louisiana, 4-3 (OT).

Hooper had two goals to lead Sugar Land to victory.

Sugar Land kept Louisiana's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Angle made 39 saves on 43 shots.

Sugar Land also had goals scored by Matt Cozzan and Jonathan Adnell, who scored one goal each. In addition, Sugar Land received assists from Nicholas Krivokuca, Keith Allen, and Matt DeNure, who each chipped in one and RC Randall and Frank Muscarella, who contributed two each.

Louisiana's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Louisiana was helped by Brayden Hutchinson, who finished with one goal. Hutchinson scored on the power play 18:39 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Sugar Land. Louisiana had gotten the advantage when Sugar Land's Luca Valenza was sent off for tripping. Jeremy Brown picked up the assist. Louisiana also got points from Brown, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Louisiana also got a goal from Timothy Zittel as well. Other players who recorded assists for Louisiana were Joshua Lodatto, Dante Juris, and Tucker Alspaugh, who each chipped in one.

Kevin Mackey recorded 12 saves for Sugar Land. Sugar Land incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Louisiana incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
