Kyle Rimbach was all over the ice for Atlanta, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Atlanta's 5-1 win over Evansville. Rimbach's tallies came at 14:35 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Atlanta and 2:52 into the third to make the score 3-1 Atlanta.Atlanta stifled Evansville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Atlanta forced Evansville goalie Adam Conkling to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Atlanta also got points from Philip Pugliese, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jacob Roers also scored for Atlanta. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Artus Laukaitis, who had two and Aleksi Hoivala, Alex Johanson, Ryan Dumond, Dylan Wattles, and Ross Bartlett, who contributed one each. Evansville managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Evansville ended up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. Evansville was led by William Bonser, who scored the team's only goal. Bonser scored 2:09 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Brandon Bornkamp picked up the assist. Alekandr Zendejas recorded 18 saves for Atlanta. Atlanta incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Adam Conkling made 34 saves for Evansville on 39 shots. Evansville registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
