Twin City survives Chicago comeback, wins 6-4

Chicago tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Twin City held on for a 6-4 victory.

Twin City made the score 6-3 on a goal by Joe Costello at 14:25 in the third period, and Chicago got as close as 6-4 when Matt Bukovsky scored 19:07 into the third period.

Twin City forced Chicago goalie Jimmy Smith to work between the pipes, taking 61 shots. Twin City was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play.

Twin City also had goals scored by Adam Vannelli, Jared Erickson, and Luc Kreuser, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Twin City were Kyle Wagner, who had two and Ben Hersman, Zak Lambrecht, Fritz Belisle, Trevor Woytcke, Tristan Mayer, Jay Paul, and Bennett Witta, who contributed one each.

Others who scored for Chicago included Connor Senn, Noah Mackie, and Timothy Hoffenkamp, who each put in one. More assists for Chicago came via Eric Arrigo, who had two and David Rutkowski, Trevor Foley, and Scott Coash Jr., who each chipped in one.

Gunnar Howg recorded 24 saves for Twin City. Twin City incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Smith rejected 55 shots on goal for Chicago. Chicago incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
