La Crosse survived a determined comeback attempt by Wisconsin on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Jerame Schuetzle put La Crosse up 2-0 in the second period, but Wisconsin pulled to within one on Ben Ratner's tally 2:30 into the third period.

Mick Nisbet had two goals to lead La Crosse to victory. Nisbet scored at 1:17 into the second period to make the score 1-0 La Crosse and again while 19:27 into the third to make the score 3-2 La Crosse.

Other players who recorded assists for La Crosse were Daniel Toycen, who had one.

La Crosse was unable to stop Wisconsin from sending pucks towards the net, and Wisconsin eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Wisconsin also got a goal from Thomas Hanson as well. More assists for Wisconsin came via Austin Lewis, Matthew Carr, Russel Barone, and Bryce Fisk, who each chipped in one.
