Huge game by Marshal boosts St. Louis over Evansville, 10-2

Bayley Marshal was all over the ice for St. Louis, as he tallied four goals and two assists in St. Louis' 10-2 win over Evansville.

Marshal notched his first tally 8:46 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:23 into the second, at 7:15 into the third, and at 12:56 into the third.

Evansville's five penalties came back to haunt it, as Evansville let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

Evansville was unable to stop St. Louis from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Louis eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. St. Louis found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. St. Louis averages 5.0 goals per game.

St. Louis additionally got points from Ryan Reader, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Sam Maddox, who also registered one goal and three assists, and Zach Mitchell, who also finished with two goals and four assists. Frankie Melton also scored for St. Louis. Other players who recorded assists for St. Louis were Frankie Cardinale, Cameron McAtee, and Hayden Smer, who contributed one each and Joe Nolan and Alex Klaesner, who each chipped in two.

Evansville's offense rang up 42 shots on St. Louis' net.

Evansville was helped by William Bonser, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Bonser scored on the power play 13:53 into the second period to make the score 6-1 St. Louis. Evansville earned a power play opportunity when Smer was put in the box for interference. Brandon Bornkamp picked up the assist. Evansville also got points from Bornkamp, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Evansville received assists from Brian Crink, who had one.

Ian Dvorak recorded 40 saves for St. Louis. St. Louis incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brian Forness made 32 saves for Evansville on 42 shots. Evansville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
