Billings failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Great Falls shook off a number of penalties to win, 4-1. Great Falls was sparked by Austin Krantz, who racked up one goal and one assist. Krantz scored short handed 11:16 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Great Falls. Great Falls found itself down a man on Miles Giorgione's slashing. Brendan Jester assisted on the tally. Billings was unable to stop Great Falls from sending pucks towards the net, and Great Falls eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Great Falls' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Great Falls finished with 28 penalty minutes. Others who scored for Great Falls included Tegan Harrington, Stevan Goran, and Adam Apangalook, who scored one goal each. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Arseny Ivanov, Josh Larson, Malachi Bushey, and Olaf Jensen, who each chipped in one. Billings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Great Falls power plays. Great Falls' Lauren Massie stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Brandon Brown rejected 39 shots on goal for Billings. Billings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
