Toledo's Tyler Zalecki scored 44 seconds into overtime to beat Wooster, 6-5 (OT).

Toledo was paced on offense by Zalecki and Tristin Snyder, who combined for five points. Zalecki had two goals and one assist and Snyder also notched one goal and two assists.

Toledo's offense rang up 46 shots on Wooster's net. Toledo outdid its season average for goals scored. Toledo averages 3.9 goals per game. Toledo was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of nine man advantages.

Toledo also got points from David Bogart, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Nikolas Verbosky, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Snyder, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Toledo included Isaiah Crawford and Austin Turner, who scored one goal each. In addition, Toledo received assists from Ricky Kwapich, who had one.

Wooster was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 20 penalty minutes.

Wooster was led by Rubin Chavarria, who finished with one goal and two assists. Chavarria scored 7:35 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Wooster. Brandon Scholze assisted on the tally. Wooster additionally got points from Scholze, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Wooster also had goals scored by Mike Zenone, Nick Tobey, and Mike Ragone, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Wooster were Zach Bilius, who had two and Will Schober, Trenton Mulnix, Tyler Houmard, Jason Watts, and Brad Delenko, who each chipped in one.

Jeremy Hamerquist made seven saves before being replaced by Glen Bates, who took the win and made 13 saves. Toledo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ryan Spencer recorded 40 saves for Wooster. Wooster registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
