Southern Tier pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over Wooster on a clutch goal by Tait Aptakin.

Southern Tier was paced by Aptakin, who tallied one goal. Aptakin scored 4:51 into overtime to make the score 3-2 Southern Tier. Kyler Chartier assisted on the tally.

Southern Tier put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Wooster to score on any of its four power plays.

Southern Tier also got points from Chartier, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Victor McCutcheon also scored for Southern Tier. In addition, Southern Tier received assists from Elijah Williams, who had one.

Wooster stifled Southern Tier's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Wooster forced Southern Tier goalie Cody Gibson to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Wooster was helped by Tyler Houmard, who registered one goal. Houmard scored 6:17 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Mike Zenone provided the assist. Wooster additionally got points from Will Schober, who also racked up one goal and one assist.

Southern Tier's Gibson stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Southern Tier incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Joe Morgan made 25 saves for Wooster on 28 shots. Wooster incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
