Anderson leads Cincinnati over Evansville, 4-1

Cincinnati's Marc Anderson had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 4-1 win over Evansville.

Anderson scored at 12:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cincinnati and again while on the power play 8:04 into the third to make the score 3-1 Cincinnati.

Cincinnati's Timothy OSullivan was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 29 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, OSullivan will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

Cincinnati pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 28 penalty minutes.

Evansville was unable to stop Cincinnati from sending pucks towards the net, and Cincinnati eventually piled up 63 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Cincinnati included Brady Kiplinger and Rory Callihan, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cincinnati came via Albert Janele, who had two and Taylor Hamilton, Brenden Williams, and Kyle Kinnaman, who each chipped in one.

Evansville could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Evansville was led by Triston Theriot, who scored the team's only goal. Theriot scored on the power play 12:24 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cincinnati. Evansville had taken the advantage when Cincinnati's Grant Kiepper got sent off for hooking. Brett Siewertsen picked up the assist.

Cincinnati registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. Brian Forness recorded 59 saves for Evansville. Evansville registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
