Gillette pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over Glacier on a clutch goal by Kyle Traux. Although Gillette was up by as many as three goals in the third period, Glacier kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. Glacier pulled to within 4-3 on a goal by Tyler McMahon at 12:49 in the third period. Gillette forced Glacier's goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Mikhail Pahrebets made 29 stops and Ben Perone made zero. Gillette excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Gillette additionally got points from Alex King, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Gillette included Cade Boreing and Michael Doyle, who each put in one. In addition, Gillette received assists from Tim VanTuinen and Hunter Johnson, who each chipped in one and Tristen Leberknight and Mitchell McEwan, who contributed two each. Glacier's offense rang up 35 shots on Gillette's net. Glacier also had goals scored by Marvin Simmons and William Bostwick, who scored one goal each. More assists for Glacier came via Logan Kraft, Wyatt Fretheim, Tanner Poker, and Brett LeBeau, who each chipped in one. Stephen Wroe made 31 saves for Gillette on 35 shots.
