St. Louis survives Nashville comeback, wins 3-2

St. Louis survived a determined comeback attempt by Nashville on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Zach Mitchell put St. Louis up 3-0 in the second period, but Nashville pulled to within one on Dakota Wilson's tally 3:39 into the third period.

Mitchell had two goals to lead St. Louis to victory.

St. Louis' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Nashville power plays.

Alex Klaesner also scored for St. Louis. More assists for St. Louis came via Brian Schumacher, Sam Maddox, Frankie Melton, Hayden Smer, and Tyler Vehrenkamp, who each chipped in one.

St. Louis was unable to stop Nashville from sending pucks towards the net, and Nashville eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Nashville was helped by Dylan Schmidt, who finished with one goal. Schmidt scored 11:43 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Louis. Andrew Kluge provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Nashville were Trent Kulczyk, Kristers Petraskevis, and Conor Cunningham, who contributed one each.

Zach Young rejected 30 shots on goal for St. Louis. St. Louis incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ricky Gonzalez recorded 20 saves for Nashville. Nashville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
