Lipic, Peoria blank Wisconsin, 4-0

Peoria used a sparkling performance by Ross Lipic to take down Wisconsin, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Peoria's 4-0 shutout victory.

Peoria was sparked by Chance Homerin, who finished with one goal. Homerin scored 4:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. Levi Armstrong picked up the assist.

Peoria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Peoria's defensive effort looked to be improved. Peoria allows 2.6 goals per game. Wisconsin was unable to stop Peoria from sending pucks towards the net, and Peoria eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Peoria additionally got points from Armstrong, who also registered one goal and one assist. Peoria also had goals scored by Joe Power Wayvon and Austin Wisely, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Andrej Buchko, who had two and Jack Power Wayvon, Dane Federighi, and Thomas Kolaz, who contributed one each.

Wisconsin's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Peoria power plays.

Lipic recorded 27 saves for Peoria. Peoria incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Chris Kluesner made 36 saves for Wisconsin on 40 shots. Wisconsin incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
