Helena rolls over Glacier, 7-1

Helena had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Glacier.

Helena was paced by Connor Dunn, who had one goal and one assist. Dunn scored 7:33 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Helena. Brandon Mills assisted on the tally.

Helena forced Glacier goalie Ben Perone to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Helena outdid its season average for goals scored. Helena averages 3.2 goals per game.

Helena additionally got points from Ryan Daugherty, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Mills, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Helena included Riley Keays, who had two and Benjamin Kraus and Cody Vanthournout, who each put in one. In addition, Helena received assists from Wyatt Stotts, Bryan Knesel, Jack Dolan, Matt Blassic, John Greer, and Blake Babineau, who each chipped in one and Johnny Bonta and Michael Ballard, who contributed two each.

Glacier's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. Glacier surpassed its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Glacier's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Helena power plays.

Adam Ranck made 24 saves for Helena on 25 shots. Helena ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Glacier's Perone stopped 37 shots out of the 44 that he faced. Glacier registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
