Cincinnati shrugs off penalties, upends Toledo, 3-1

Cincinnati, which found itself down a man often, weathered Toledo's power play opportunities and emerged with a 3-1 victory.

Cincinnati was led by Jacob Friedman, who racked up one goal. Friedman scored 7:58 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Cincinnati. Grant Kiepper assisted on the tally.

Cincinnati was often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 18.0 minutes per game Cincinnati had been spending in the box. Cincinnati stifled Toledo's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
