Twin City outlasts Breezy Point, 5-3

The game between Twin City and Breezy Point was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Twin City emerged with a 5-3 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Ben Hersman at 4:38 of the third period.

Twin City was led by Hersman, who had one goal and one assist.

Breezy Point was unable to stop Twin City from sending pucks towards the net, and Twin City eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Twin City's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Twin City additionally got points from Tom Reilly, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Twin City also had goals scored by Zak Lambrecht, Trevor Woytcke, and Tristan Mayer, who scored one goal each. In addition, Twin City received assists from Jared Erickson, who had two and Nicholas Campbell, Joe Costello, Jay Paul, and Bennett Witta, who contributed one each.

Breezy Point was helped by Josh Laven, who registered one goal. Laven scored 3:08 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Breezy Point. Others who scored for Breezy Point included Sean Viti and Reise Kieffer, who each put in one. More assists for Breezy Point came via Josh Malin and Nik Boyer, who each chipped in one.

Jon Albers made 12 saves for Twin City on 15 shots. Twin City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Breezy Point's Magnus Lindhe stopped 27 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Breezy Point incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
