Marcus Gloss stood on his head and made 25 saves to lead Pittsburgh to a 3-1 victory over Cincinnati.

Pittsburgh was sparked by Nick Hawkins, who finished with one goal and one assist. Hawkins scored 9:25 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Pittsburgh. Connor Ackerman picked up the assist.

Pittsburgh forced Cincinnati goalie Daniel Dolliver to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Cincinnati was led by Marc Anderson, who scored the team's only goal. Anderson scored on the power play 17:15 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pittsburgh. A charging penalty on Joshua Butterworh had put Cincinnati on the power play. Justin Bioni assisted on the tally.
