Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but LA Jr. Kings (mm) held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Hirotaka Cox put LA Jr. Kings (mm) up 3-1 in the third period, but Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) pulled to within one on Andreas Aune's tally 16:35 into the third period.

LA Jr. Kings (mm) was sparked by Cox, who grabbed one goal. Cox scored 12:37 into the third period to make the score 3-1 LA Jr. Kings (mm).

LA Jr. Kings (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (mm) to score on any of its four power plays.
