Dallas Stars Elite (MM) wins tough contest against Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM), 3-2

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) gutted out a close 3-2 win against Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM).

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Ben Allen's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Allen had two goals to lead Dallas Stars Elite (MM) to victory.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM)'s power play was ineffective against Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 14 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

Chris Salmon also scored for Dallas Stars Elite (MM). More assists for Dallas Stars Elite (MM) came via Nick Nietubyc and Dustin Bolinger, who each chipped in one and Alex Ochterbeck and Tyler Schulz, who contributed two each.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) was helped by Brandon Bergado, who had one goal. Bergado scored on the power play 16:37 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) had gained a power play chance when James Di Stefano was whistled for cross checking. Jack Sitzman provided the assist. Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) also got a goal from Matthew Poindexter as well. In addition, Anaheim Jr. Ducks (MM) received assists from Andre Ghantous, who had one.
