The New York Lizards rallied from four goals down to secure a 15-12 win over the Rochester Rattlers. New York never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Lizards was down 7-3 after a goal by Rochester's Dave Lawson at 2:28 in the 2nd quarter. New York tied things up at 12-12 on a goal by Rob Pannell at 3:09 in the 4th quarter. The Lizards scored the game winner at 3:52 in the 4th quarter on a goal by Pannell. New York got the win thanks to a great game by Pannell, who had four goals and one assist. The Lizards kept the Rattlers' goalie busy throughout the game, and John Galloway made 13 saves on 28 shots. New York additionally got points from Jo-Jo Marasco, who also registered one goal and two assists, Tommy Palasek, who also registered two goals and one assist and Paul Rabil, who also registered three goals and three assists to lead the team in points. New York also had goals scored by Matt Gibson, who had two and Mike Stone, Ned Crotty and Greg Gurenlian, who each put in one. Rochester kept New York's goalie busy throughout the game, and Drew Adams made 11 saves on 23 shots. The Rattlers were led by Mark Matthews, who grabbed three goals. Rochester also got points from Randy Staats, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Rochester included Matthews, who had three, Kyle Denhoff and Jordan Wolf, who scored two goals each and Kevin Rice, Jack Near and John Ranagan, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Rochester were Jordan MacIntosh, who had one. The Lizards won 25 faceoffs to five for Rochester. Gurenlian won 25 for the Lizards.
