Anthony Parrucci was all over the ice for the Johnstown Tomahawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Johnstown's 7-3 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Parrucci found the back of the net 19:55 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Johnstown and again while on the power play 8:43 into the third to make the score 5-2 Johnstown.The Tomahawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to score on any of its three power plays. Johnstown kept Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Grant Valentine made 39 saves on 46 shots. The Tomahawks' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Johnstown finished with 42 penalty minutes. Johnstown also got points from Joe Delandro, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Dalton Hunter, who also had one goal and one assist. Johnstown also had goals scored by Adam Pilewicz, Brendan Jaquay, and Drew Doyon, who scored one goal each. In addition, Johnstown received assists from Dante Suffredini, who had three and Andrew Romano, Austin Heakins, and Ryan Burr, who contributed one each. The Tomahawks were unable to stop Wilkes-Barre/Scranton from sending pucks towards the net, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was often in penalty trouble, as it ended with nine minors and three majors for 63 minutes in penalty time. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was helped by Steven Kelly, who registered one goal. Kelly scored 2:25 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Reed Robinson picked up the assist. Kohei Sato also scored for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Other players who recorded assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton were Tanner Bennett, who had two and Isaac Cirinna and Aiden Beck, who each chipped in one. Jacob Gwillim rejected 28 shots on goal for Johnstown. The Tomahawks registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cirinna was ejected from the game.
