San Diego Jr. Gulls 16U tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Thunder Bay Kings 16U held on for a 4-2 victory.

Thunder Bay Kings 16U took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have San Diego Jr. Gulls 16U storm back on a Ryan Robinson goal 15:30 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Thunder Bay Kings 16U surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Thunder Bay Kings 16U averages 1.8 goal per game.

Thunder Bay Kings 16U was helped by Ian Tookenay, who finished with one goal. Tookenay scored on the power play 16:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thunder Bay Kings 16U.
