St. Louis Selects 16U uses early goal to top Arizona Bobcats 16U, 3-2

Joshua Boyer gave St. Louis Selects 16U the lead in the first period, and Arizona Bobcats 16U was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 3-2.

A goal 2:36 into the first period by Boyer proved to be the game winner, and powered St. Louis Selects 16U to the victory. Cole Cutler picked up the assist.

St. Louis Selects 16U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 30 penalty minutes.

St. Louis Selects 16U was sparked by Jared Westcott, who had one goal and one assist. Westcott scored 12:56 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Louis Selects 16U. Ian Gindhart provided the assist.

Tony Grasso also scored for St. Louis Selects 16U. In addition, St. Louis Selects 16U received assists from Thomas Horak, who had one.
