Lorinchak's goals lift Washington Little Capitals 16U to 4-1 victory over San Diego Jr. Gulls 16U

Drew Lorinchak had two goals to lead Washington Little Capitals 16U to a 4-1 victory over San Diego Jr. Gulls 16U.

Lorinchak scored at 4:22 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Washington Little Capitals 16U and again while on the power play 5:07 into the third to make the score 3-1 Washington Little Capitals 16U.

Washington Little Capitals 16U kept San Diego Jr. Gulls 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ethan Racz made 31 saves on 35 shots. Washington Little Capitals 16U had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on 10 chances.

Washington Little Capitals 16U also had goals scored by Finn McLain and Brian Middledorf, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Washington Little Capitals 16U were Kamron Sarmadi, who had one and Andrew Kurapov and Maxwell Simpson, who contributed two each.

San Diego Jr. Gulls 16U was led by Michael Lempiainen, who scored the team's only goal. Lempiainen scored on the power play 11:52 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Washington Little Capitals 16U. San Diego Jr. Gulls 16U had taken the advantage when Washington Little Capitals 16U's Cole McDowell got sent off for slashing. Charlie Pape assisted on the tally.
