A stellar performance between the pipes by Liam Murray helped Honeybaked 16U defeat Team Illinois 16U, 4-1.

Honeybaked 16U was led by Jonathan Gruden, who tallied one goal. Gruden scored 8:36 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Honeybaked 16U. Travis Mitchell assisted on the tally.

Honeybaked 16U's offense rang up 36 shots on Team Illinois 16U's net.

Honeybaked 16U also had goals scored by William Mackinnon, Jake Transit, and Max Ellis, who scored one goal each. In addition, Honeybaked 16U received assists from Mac Welsher and Cade Robinson, who contributed one each.

Team Illinois 16U kept Honeybaked 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Murray made 30 saves on 31 shots.

Team Illinois 16U was led by Liam Rafferty, who scored the team's only goal. Rafferty scored on the power play 8:36 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Team Illinois 16U. Team Illinois 16U had taken the advantage when Honeybaked 16U's Gruden got sent off for tripping. Thomas Altounian picked up the assist.
